There's a right time and place for pointless killing.

Here in Australia, we're currently, and almost universally, outraged about half-a-dozen idiot teenagers killing a tame swan in a Melbourne park (in the state of Victoria) by pelting it with rocks.

And in other news, it's officially the Victorian duck-hunting season.
